Welcome! The Devils River Conservancy (DRC) is a community of people committed to treasure, preserve and protect the Devils River, its springs, and the lands within its water catchment area.

The Devils River is a place many consider to be the last pristine river in Texas.

In recent years the Devils has come under threat—from discovery by a growing number of recreationists, from fragmentation of its bordering landscapes, and from water marketers who see “excess groundwater” in the Devils River basin and want to pump and pipe it away to our state’s growing urban areas.

Through education, research and advocacy, the DRC works to ensure the river's clean, clear waters and springs will continue to flow according to their historical and natural regimes.
